I always had trouble cutting my homemade bread with the knives I have. This knife combined with the bread cutter makes slicing homemade bread so easy.

Good quality, matched with an excellent price.
No need to spend a lot for a good slicer.
I also like the feel of the wood handle.

Excellent quality for the price paid. Liked it so much I'm going to buy another one for my daughter.

It's a little hard to use for those of us with small hands, but other than that, it works like a charm. It's a very long blade, which is perfect for larger, round breads.

The quality of this knife is good for the amount of jack. This knife will tackle any soft breads and cakes with ease. The one problem that I have run into with this knife however, is that the widley spaced teeth can be troublesome when cutting hard crusty breads. Since the teeth are widley spaced, it is prone to skipping if you are not careful. In short, skipping knife blade = sliced fingers. This is problematic to me since most of the bread I bake is rustic/french style bread. In all fairness, this knife has multiple purposes, but if you are looking for a good knife to cut those lovely baguettes you've been laboring over so insatiably, go with something with smaller teeth.

The fact that I'm able to type this blog entry less than a week after the operation has me hopeful that recovery will be quicker than I was led to believe, but it will still be a few weeks before I'm able to really tackle any serious work.


Bailing on his court appearance in the class-action lawsuit over the fact that "Vista Capable" computers were utter pieces of crap packed with sucky chips that were "capable" of running Vista in only the thinnest, most literal interpretation of term, Steve Ballmer delivered a written deposition that excused himself of all responsibility.

"I was not involved in any of the operational decisions about the Windows Vista Capable program. I was not involved in establishing the requirements computers must satisfy to qualify for the Windows Vista Capable program."

And on and on.

So who was responsible?

"Jim Allchin, Microsoft's then co-president of Platform Products and Services, and Will Poole, Microsoft's then Senior Vice President, Windows Client Business....I did not direct Mr. Allchin or Mr. Poole to reach any particular business decision. Mr. Allchin and Mr. Poole remained responsible for maintaining and excecuting those decisions."

I mean, come on guys, why would you really expect Ballmer to know how this mess went down? He's just the CEO of the company, and has other things to do, like getting people to actually buy Vista. [The Inquirer]
